at our university.
Projects we are working on include:
- Retrofitting a donated early prototype electric vehicle
(Dagne) - Updating UCSC’s electric maintenance fleet from lead acid to lithium ion batteries
- Exploring the use of supercapacitors for power storage, creating a solar charging station
- Designing and building an electric vehicle to compete in Formula SAE Electric competitions.
I organized our petition drive and met with university administration on behalf of the team; we are now allowed to fundraise and use space on campus.
I took the initiative to organize the club into effective, task-centered teams. We are currently seeking additional industry sponsors and networking with teams at other universities.
I also work on the electrical and mechanical engineering teams of the Dagne Retrofit Project.
